Twenty-two years, mostly spent deciding.
D-Sign is a technology leadership company. The work is judgment: helping founders and boards make the technology calls that are expensive to get wrong.
I’m Dipankar Sinha. For most of my career I’ve sat on the inside, building products, running engineering, and being the person in the room when a technology decision could make or cost the business a lot of money. HDFC Life, Shoppers Stop, Vuclip, Hungama, Future Group, 24/7.ai. Different industries, the same underlying job.
What I noticed over those years is that the hard part is rarely the building. Good engineers build. The hard part is the decision before the building: what to build, what to buy, who to hire, which risk to carry and which to kill. Get those right and an ordinary team ships extraordinary things. Get them wrong and the best engineers in the world spend a year rowing in the wrong direction.
That’s what D-Sign does. Not another dev shop. Not staff augmentation. A technology leadership layer you can rent when you need it, for the founder who can’t yet justify a full-time CTO, and for the enterprise that needs three weeks of outside truth rather than a six-month engagement.
How I work
Plainly, and in writing. Every engagement ends with something you can act on: a call, the reasoning behind it, and a level of confidence. No 80-slide decks. No jargon used to sound clever. If I’m not sure, I’ll tell you I’m not sure, that’s worth more than false certainty.
There are also a handful of products taking shape under the same roof. When they’re ready, you’ll see them on the products page. Until then, the consulting is the business.
